Mom’s Surgery

Bloged in Balad IQ by SKi Monday March 13, 2006

My Mom goes into the hospital tomorrow for an operation to remove her baby making stuff. I am sure it will go just fine, but she is a bit worried I think. So all of you that are close with your lord. Please drop a prayer in there for her. Thanks.

Pretty quiet and clear night tonight. There is this ring around the moon. Well, not around the moon literally, it’s in the sky, the atmosphere.

I have seen it before, it looks pretty cool. But for the life of me, I can’t remember what it’s called.

It’s a ring, kind of. Almost looks like a smoke ring, but it follows the moon.

Anyone know what that is called?

Edit: Mbalia found it! This is what it looks like. Except it’s not a full moon here, it’s crescent at the moment.

R&B Still here

Well, looks like Cliatt and Petty were incorrect.. so far anyway ;P

There is still R&B playing on the radio, now, 4 days into the month of March.

I will say this though, of the two stations, one was playing it 24/7 and now both the stations play a mix.

What I really want to know: When the hell are they going to start playing some Drum and Bass… or some good House music!!! *sigh*

5 Games

Bloged in Balad IQ by SKi Thursday March 2, 2006

I decided to break my routine of work - DFAC - pod and get out today. I wandered over to the basketball courts to observe what appeared to be - from the smoke pit - a pickup game, in which there were 8 players on the court and one person on the bench.

I plopped down on the bench with my gun in hand. A few moments later, someone on the court noticed that there were now enough people to play a 5 on 5.

They asked if I wanted to play, to which I responded with a nod. I removed my boonie hat and jogging pants and headed onto the court.

Five games and one dunk later, we were done, and it was about time for me to get ready for work.

I feel that the soreness (read: pain) from this day will last a while!
